When the term Berlin School is used in the music scene, a musical style is being referred to which has influenced electronic music up to and including the present day.
It was Tangerine Dream in particular, among others, who coined this term with their sound at the beginning of the 1970s. The band, formed by Edgar Froese in West-Berlin in 1967, consisted of several musicians and has now been creating music for over 50 years.
